Step inside 'Pretty Property, Dirty Power'—a raw, unfiltered memoir based on one woman’s extraordinary 11-year journey through the polished world of an owner managed luxury property. This is not your typical industry story. These are the behind-the-scenes moments no one talks about—the power plays, blurred lines, and quiet resilience it takes to survive when the property is beautiful, but the power is anything but.

About the Author
‘Pretty Property, Dirty Power’ is my memoir-in-motion—a true story about one of the worst kinds of workplace experiences someone can live through. A story of ambition turned toxic, trust betrayed, and power abused behind polished glass doors.

But more than anything, it’s a story about resilience.
I’ve spent over 20 years in the property management industry—from luxury lease-ups to full-blown rehabs to running the show behind the scenes. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that grit isn’t optional. It’s survival.

That grit is what got me through a chaotic, circumstantial version of hell that I never saw coming.
At first, this project was just for me. A way to get the story out of my head and onto the page. But as I started writing, I realized—I’ve lived through so many stories. Some dark. Some beautiful. Some so absurd and hilarious, they’ve become the kind of stories we still tell years later with people who get it. And I know I’m not the only one.

So now, this space isn’t just about my experience. It’s a place to share all the stories—mine and yours. The moments that shaped us. The ones that tested us. The ones that made us feel seen, or shook us to our core, or just cracked us up in the break room.
I’m choosing to share my story anonymously—for now—not because I’m afraid, but because I know how easily this industry can turn on those who speak up. This isn’t about hiding. It’s about creating a space where truth is safe to land.

This kind of space has been long overdue for our industry.
So here it is.

Let’s share. Let’s connect.
Let’s finally tell the stories that deserve to be heard.
